Grand Match Report

Editorial policy

Grand Match Report aims to be accurate, independent and open about the limits of what can be established from a written account. We value precise language and context over certainty for its own sake.

Accuracy and context

We check factual statements against suitable information available during preparation and take care not to turn a general pattern into a universal rule. Where a subject varies by place, season or circumstance, we say so. We do not claim first-hand observation, research or testing unless the article clearly describes it.

Independence

Editorial choices are made for their relevance to readers, not as a promise of favourable coverage. A partnership does not buy an editorial conclusion, and material from partners is kept distinct from independently planned editorial work.

Corrections

If a reader identifies a possible error, we review the point and amend material when warranted. Significant changes should be made clear in the article so readers can understand what was corrected.

Partner material and illustrations

Sponsored or partner material is clearly identified as such and is not presented as independent editorial coverage. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where they are, they are identified, and they should not be taken as documentary evidence of a real place or event.
